DEAN HEIL

Hailing from Brunswick, Ohio, Dean Heil wrestled under American wrestling legend John Smith for five years at Oklahoma State University, earning two NCAA titles and three podium finishes in his four trips to the Division I Championships. He finished his career with 116 varsity wins, boasting a perfect 32-0 season in 2017 and a career-high win streak of 55 consecutive wins between his junior and senior seasons.

Before suiting up for Oklahoma State, Heil competed for St. Edward High School, where he was a 4x OHSAA State Champion. After graduating college, Dean held a coaching position at Campbell University as a Volunteer Assistant Coach under Cary Kolat, where he helped coach his younger brother Josh.

Dean had split time training between the Oklahoma RTC and the Buies Creek RTC while coaching at Campbell. Dean now continues to train alongside Cary Kolat at the Navy-Marine Corps RTC.
