CARY KOLAT

Cary Kolat is one of the most influential wrestlers in the history of wrestling. A native of Pennsylvania, Kolat competed at Jefferson-Morgan High School where won PIAA state titles and compiled a perfect 137-0 record.

Kolat was a collegiate wrestler for Penn State. University and later transferred to Lock Haven University. Between the two, he achieved one of the most impressive careers in college wrestling. Cary Kolat was a 2x NCAA Champion and a 4x NCAA All-American. His overall college wrestling career wrapped up with a 111-7 record and 53 pins. 

Following his collegiate career, Kolat was the United States' representative at the World and Olympic Championships from 1997-2001. In 1997 and 1998 Kolat won a Silver and Bronze medal at the World Championships. In 2000 Kolat won the 63kg freestyle weight class at the United States Olympic Trials and was the US Olympic representative in Sydney, Australia. 

Cary Kolat recently finished his sixth season as the Head Coach at Campbell University in Buies Creek, NC and has quickly led the program up the national ranks. During the last four seasons, the Camels brought home three SoCon titles, two regular-season SoCon championships, 12 SoCon individual champs and qualified 19 Camels for the NCAA Championships. This year, Kolat will be starting his first season with Navy wrestling.
